Ms. Krone seems blithly unaware that the largest studies comparing charter and non-charter schools on student performance do not support the claims of charter school advocates. In fact, the study that covered the largest number of charter and non-charter schools (from a Stanford U group that was actually pro-charter) found that students attending charter schools were about twice as likley to perform below their public school counterparts on math as to exceed their performance (and the plurality showed to measurable difference - altho the cost/studnet was higher).

Apparently Ms. Krone prefers not to have facts disrupt a good series of anecdotes.
