Re: “Green Zebra

You will get top quality food and service at this restaurant! The wine list is excellent, and the server made sure that the vegan in our party was accommodated well. Each dish was unusual and delicious.

A caveat: the menu is all small dishes, and your meal will be expensive if you order enough to feel full.

The decor is very bland, so this is not the place to go if you are looking for a romantic atmosphere. Go with friends, not a date.

Re: “Indie Cafe

This place serves up Thai that is a cut above the usual. The pad kee mao was spiced to perfection and presented well. My dining companion raved about the seafood salad and sushi.

Re: “Coast Sushi

Friendly, efficient service. Waitstaff was eager to help the vegetarian in my party order. I'll be back.

Re: “So Gong Dong Tofu House

I know that serving large parties is difficult, but that does not justify the poor service my party of 12 got. There were only 4 other customers there, and we had a reservation, but the staff was unwilling to take the time to answer questions. We had to ask for our drinks three times. A server spilled soda all over the table and one member of the party. You get lots of good food at a great price, but it won't be worth it if you really want good--or even average!--service. I suggest going only if you are in a small party.

Re: “Letizia's Natural Bakery

Take the "no margarine zone" declaration over the front door seriously. Real butter rules at Letizia's. Butter was the dominant flavor in both the cookies and the nut tart we had. They were a little bland, but dense and substantial. We enjoyed the pizza very much. Vegetarian slices are piled high with fresh spinach, tomatoes, and other fresh veggies. The mozzarella had that delicious full-fat cheese taste.

The decor has the usual coffee house charm, plus ceiling fans that rotate like airplant propellers. The staff is very attentive and works quickly.
