Re: “The Stained Glass Bistro

The Stained Glass, a wine bar, was phenomenal. From the beginning, it was one creative dish after another. From the five that were in my party, two entrees were tried (I doubled the scallop appetizer and made it into a meal), all of which were fantastic. The halibut entree, served on a bed of spinach and a crepe stuffed with warmed goat cheese, is by far the best piece of fish I've ever eaten. The rack of lamb, also, was delicious. Chef/owner Victor Hernandez has lined up an exciting menu featuring both hot and cold appetizers as well as approximately 9-11 entrees.

The waitstaff was extremely knowledgeable and extremely helpful when the time came to select the right wine. General manager Malik Kemokai was also on hand to provide a few educational tidbits. If he offers you advice on wine, you should take it. The man knows his stuff. I would recommend taking a "flight," which is three half glasses from all over the world. With 32 wines served by the glass, and countless others sold by the bottle, any wine connoisseur would be pleased. If you're not into wine (although you are at a wine bar), they also have a full bar.

Recently remodeled, the dining room is very elegantly done, with the light fixtures being the centerpiece. The interior is non smoking, and the restrooms are clean and accesible. Not recommended for children.

All in all, a fantastic place for a romantic date or an intimate night with close friends.
