Bert Williams, Rediscovered: Resurrecting a Lost Landmark in Black Film History

Ron Magliozzi of the Museum of Modern Art's film department presents an assemblage of rushes and outtakes from the earliest known surviving feature-length film with an all-black cast, an untitled silent work starring comedian Bert Williams. Magliozzi discusses the film's production and rediscovery, while Theaster Gates and the Black Monks of Mississippi provide live musical accompaniment.
