Perhaps the simple solution (for now) is to put paint on the pavement in the path on the north and south side of trouble sections that reads "WATCH FOR ICE AHEAD IN WINTER". It would remind you all summer to watch out for these spots come winter. It's super cheap and a similar solution works on roadways in areas prone to rock slides where there are signs warning drivers to watch out for fallen rocks in the road.
