Batkid Begins

Can one go too far in fulfilling the dream of a five-year-old leukemia patient? That's the question raised by the "Batkid" phenomenon of November 2013, in which little Miles Scott became the star of a live superhero movie that involved thousands of people, took up much of downtown San Francisco, and cost more than $100,000. This cloying documentary doesn't really address the question; it's essentially a recap of how the citywide production came to be and how good people felt about working on it. To me it felt like a feature-length industrial film for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Dana Nachman directed.
