Trey Hillman, Manager of the Kansas City Royals, spent 5 years (from 2003-2007) in Japan as manager of the Nippon Ham Fighters. He brought the team from its place at the bottom of the Pacific League in 2003 to its first place finish in the league in 2006 and 2007.
