Re: “Can Stephen Sondheim cure a broken heart?

"Sorry-Grateful" is the best song ever written about relationships. It captures the ambiguity/love-hate-despair that builds over the years. That is why Sondheim is the greatest living writer of theater songs. No one does it like him. My heart breaks a little more each time I listen to it. Great suggestion. But then there's "Every Day A Little Death" from A Little Night Music which also captures the drip-drip-drip of living. But then there's "A Little Priest" from Sweeney Todd to lighten up the mood.
