Banned Books Week Celebration

When: Fri., Sept. 26 2014
Back in 1982 there was a surge of challenges to books in schools, libraries, and bookstores, and a group of rebellious bibliophiles fought back so we can read whatever the hell we want! Now 32 years and more than 11,000 challenged books later, a group of literary punks is gathering to read passages from some of the most famous challenged works for Banned Books Week. Featured texts include To Kill a Mockingbird, The Lorax, and Persepolis.
