Bank Shot

Gower Champion directed this negligible little caper film (1974) as if he were still choreographing and directing on Broadway, and George C. Scott camps it up disgracefully as the mastermind in the theft of a mobile bank from a shopping-center parking lot. Sorrell Booke bumbles, sweats, and generally Zero Mostels it up all over the place as Scott's partner; Joanna Cassidy seems to be around mainly to model sexy pantsuits. The best thing about the film is Harry Stradling Jr.'s super photography—but that's scarcely enticement to see a really minor Scott vehicle. Wendell Mayes wrote the script, based on a novel by Donald E. Westlake.
