Re: “As Evanston moves to fire ‘Cranky Librarian,’ e-mails reveal longtime board plan to get rid of her

Tho an EPL Patron for decades, I was unfamiliar with the library's personnel issues until they became news. However, I was familiar with its programing, some of which was wonderful; recently inclurding great, free jazz, along with years of thoughtful, literary, & political presentaons on par with excellent programs at public libraries in similar suburbs nearby & even at NU. Looking into it recently, I learned that Ms. W. has been organizing many of these for years. Isn't this, by far, the most important aaspect of her work? Maybe, instead of firing a public servant who doesn't always get along with management, Evanston should find more so effective educating &--okay, I'll confess--enligjtening her public!
Least, it's what I think.
