This is a past event.
Think of it as Sesame Street for grownups, complete with angst-ridden muppets that swear and screw and bouncy, satirical tunes teaching viewers that "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist" and "You Can Be as Loud as the Hell You Want(When You're Makin' Love)." Presented here in a touring version, the hilarious Broadway hit follows 22-year-old Princeton (BA in English, no employable skills) as he settles into a starter apartment in a New York slum, where his neighbors include an Internet porn addict, a closeted gay conservative who clings to the myth of "My Girlfriend Who Lives in Canada," and fuzzy Kate Monster (assistant kindergarten teacher, dreams of opening a school for "people of fur" like herself). An appealing young cast perform while manipulating the puppets, designed by former Big Bird operator Rick Lyon. Jacqueline Grabois is particularly funny as both Kate and Lucy the Slut, rivals for Princeton's fickle affections. --Albert Williams
