To the editors:

In response to Mr. Gerald M. Stein's letter of October 2, regretting the loss of such festival radio broadcasts as those of Salzburg and Vienna from the schedule of Chicago's other classical music station, we would like to point out that these programs, along with many other series from the great orchestras of Europe, are alive and well and at home on WNIB, 97 FM. Also alive and well on WNIB are such programs as George Jellinek's The Vocal Scene and Fred Heft's The Record of Singing, which are devoted to past masters, such as Mr. Stein points out are no longer heard on the other station.
