I was absolutely offended by the article attempting to cutify slaughtering and consuming animals ["Please Kill Me" by Nicholas Day, June 29]. I do not think that the cow wants to be your meal. The cow wants to hang out with her young ones, mate, play with her friends, and do what cows do. Who are we to raise animals for food, to take away their life, their freedom, and then call this whole animal pimping process "humane." Only a human would call something so shameful "humane." You should ask the cow just exactly how humane she thinks the process of enslaving her, her life, her young ones, and then slaughtering her is.
