Our Review

Typical diner fare at Michigan Avenue prices. Our sad dishes, when they arrived, looked like dreary platters of the worst cafeteria grub. The french fries were pale and greasy; it was hard to believe that the dried-out, tough little hamburger patty was the sirloin burger the menu bragged about; and the Rueben sandwich was chintzy with both the corned beef and the sauerkraut. On the upside, a snafu with our check snagged us an unexpected bargain -– the server had mistakenly given our check for two to a single diner, who unwittingly paid it. She offered us his cheaper bill instead, making us feel like we'd gotten something like what we paid for.
