We went to this restaurant because we were interested in the $10 wine flight they offer on Tuesday nights. I haven't had this horrible of a dining experience in a long time. The service was bad to say the least. Our waiter clearly did not want to be working that night. He was not at all attentive or helpful. We were the only table he had. We had trouble deciding which flight each of us wanted and he had no suggestions. He did not even offer us dessert menus until we asked. And, when we paid our check, he did not ask if we needed change, which we did and brought to his attention. As a result, his tip was quite small, which is another thing I never do. My boyfriend's entree was poorly made. The waiter did not tell us anything about the "small plate" concept of the restaurant or that we should get a couple to share. As a result we were dissatisfied with our meals. Only later did I realize that this is a small plate restaurant. I definitely would not go back to this restaurant, ever!

Re: “Big Bowl

This Big Bowl is like many others. When I went I knew that my favorite Kung Pao Chicken would be as I expected--good. But I always order it with the cilantro rather than the spinach and never have trouble getting that way. Here the waiter seemed uncertain if that was possible. It was possible. The service was all right, but not over the top. The appetizer was decent. I'd never been a Big Bowl for dinner and was surprised to find that the wine list was better than expected. There were quite a few wines available by the glass. I especially enjoy the desserts that they have by the bite-size. I got the bite-size brownie and was very pleased. The big one is way too big for two people, but the bite-size is just right for one person. I'll definitely go back, if only because it is a stable experience.
