Re: “Eat your veggies

Thank you for writing a vegetarian guide for us Chicagoans.

Though I give you props for including a few inexpensive veggie restaurants, I would like to ask that, if you choose to write a similar guide in the near future, that you include more options for those of us who can't afford to shop at Green Grocer for our produce, etc.

There are so many awesome food markets in Chicago that lack the trend factor, are very inexpensive and have excellent selections.

Fellow veggies should check out:

Joong Boo Market (jongboomarket.com) on Kimball for cheap and delicious veg friendly Korean and Japanese goods like miso paste, tofu, boy choy and oyster mushrooms.

Stanley's Fruit and Vegetables in Noble square: DIRT cheap and always has whatever's in season.

Milwaukee and California Produce on, you guessed it - Milwaukee and California. This is a Mexican corner market that sells cheap and excellent vegetarian standbys as well as super spicy salsa, chihuahua cheese, and tomatillos.

And, of course, any and all grocers in Devon are a veggie's best friend.
