The first feature-length film (1942) of Portuguese filmmaker Manoel de Oliveira (I'm Going Home) is reputedly a hard-edged, unsentimental look into the world of children, said to anticipate many of the techniques of neorealism. The title comes from the Portuguese equivalent to the children's rhyme “Eeny meeny miney moe.” In Portuguese with subtitles. 70 min.
