Re: “Avant-gardist Charlotte Moorman finally gets the recognition she's due

Thanks for the writeup of this show, which encouraged me to see it. It's difficult to express how important this show is for anyone interested in Fluxus and the art of the avant-garde from this period. This show is massive with over 300 objects, photographs and videos. I went to a gallery talk with some of the curators, and I just cant get over how thorough, colorful and lively this exhibition is. From an art historical perspective, Dada, conceptual art, performance art, Fluxus and intermedia are all present here and wonderfully intermingled. Works by Yoko Ono, Alison Knowles, Nam June Paik, John Cage and others contextualize Moorman. "A Feast of Astonishments" lives up to its name. It's also a very professional Museum experience, with major works by the artist and a very well researched and thorough offering.
