C. Mitchell Turner's confused mess of a play starts off as a supposedly humorous paean to absurd 1980s movies about disaffected teenagers: think Better Off Dead . . . and Risky Business. But it ends up nostalgic and maudlin. There's a dead cheerleader in the protagonist's house, and he's not sure how she got there. Now he and his best friend have to figure out a way to get rid of her body, since his Dungeons & Dragons buddies are coming over and his crazy Vietnam-vet dad is on his way home. Should they chop her up? Or tie her to the train tracks? The humor in this Sansculottes Theater Company production is on the sitcom level--a laugh track would have helped. Through 9/10: Thu-Sat 8:30 PM, Sun 7 PM. Raven Theatre, 6157 N. Clark, 773-507-1898. $15.
