Our Review

A great tropical treat in Chicago! I've been to Hawaii a few times, and this place nails the authentic Hawaiian take-out food (or dare I say it's even better than what I've had in Hawaii?). Although it was only 5:45 PM on a Monday, the place was packed and every table was taken. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the curry chicken katsu, and his only complaint was that he should have ordered the all-white meat option since that's what he prefers, but it was so delicious that he didn't even mind. I had the curry tofu katsu (never saw it on a menu in Hawaii, but I love that they've added it to the menu here). It was light and delicious. We ate there, but had leftovers for a few meals at home. The entrees come with white rice and macaroni salad. I'm usually not a huge fan of macaroni salad because it's too goopy and bland, but this could easily be the best I've ever had. They offer canned Hawaiian juices too. I loved the Lilikoi Passion flavor. Everything was extremely fresh and flavorful. We'll definitely be back.
