Brasserie Jo is the favorite French restaurant of many Chicagoans. In the summer they allow dogs on the patio with a small dish of complimentary steak tartare that is delicious even for the human palate. Raw meat not your thing? Fresh oysters on the half shell are my favorite shucked to order. The shrimp in a bag was a disappointing entree it lacked flavor and the phyllo was a bit over done for my taste. Ambience was spot on and left one feeling as if they'd walked straight out the French film on the Netflix commercial. I go back again and again for oysters and drinks great beer and excellent wine menu and service. Overall a pleasant French feast for the senses.
