A Walk to Remember

What happens when one of the cool guys at a small-town high school falls for a minister's daughter who commits what his friends consider cardinal sins—reading the Bible and wearing the same sweater every day? The answer, though disturbing, isn't manipulative, and this realist fairy tale of impossible love has a fair amount of nuance and charm. Adam Shankman directed a screenplay by Karen Janszen, based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks; with Shane West and Mandy Moore. 100 min.
