Historical Drama
The sinking of the Titanic, told in pseudodocumentary style by director Roy Ward Baker (1958). The production design is immaculate, the dramatic construction—brief flashes of dozens of different characters, all riding unknowingly to their doom—much less so. Eric Ambler adapted Walter Lord's book; with Kenneth More, Honor Blackman, Michael Goodliffe, David McCallum, and George Rose.
Director: Roy Ward Baker
Producer: William MacQuitty
Cast: Kenneth More, David McCallum, Honor Blackman, Jill Dixon, Laurence Naismith, Frank Lawton, Alec McCowan, George Rose and Ronald Allen
