A Dog's Dream

A man's apartment is emptied by thieves, a hooker with unnaturally red hair is offered to clients on her 19th birthday, another man is informed by a fortune-teller that he will meet the love of his life. These and other incidents on a single night in Athens occasionally intersect in this 2005 film, which baffles more than it illuminates—there's too much narrative with too little explanation. Angelos Frantzis's stylish direction recalls David Lynch: his city is a broken labyrinth, but not a very rewarding one. In Greek with subtitles. 88 min.
