Re: “Ema, the Israeli restaurant that’s not Israeli

Tal- Your use of the term "douchebag" puts you in the category of "writers that are not to be considered serious."

Re: “A different direction for WBEZ

I've been listening and mostly loving to WBEZ for 20 years. So I realize that the program has to change every now and then and that the station has to try new things.

Nostalgically, I miss Gretchen Helfrich and Odyssey- she was my absolute favorite for intelligent and lively discussion. Also, was thrilled when Steve Edwards made his brief reappearance on 848 but dashed when he left again.

Tony Serabia is terrific and I admire his music knowledge but he is annoying as the morning host. He is not as sharp on current events and tries to relate every stoyr back to his own experience - even if he doesn't have one.

If WBEZ can't fund the original programs with actual journalists why doesn't it just reschedule
Talk of the Nation which is hands down one of the best programs on NPR? I miss TOTN (but love that Science Friday is still on!)

Tory Malatia is delusional if he thinks original content on WBEZ will continue if the stories are reported by unpaid hacks.. You get what you pay for, people.

Re: “Right where Rahm doesn't want to be

Hasn't Chicago allowed enough of its beautiful buildings to be destroyed (hello, Chicago Stock Exchange)? Why are we so willing to trash our cultural heritage and cave into moneyed interests? Northwestern University is also part of our city's intellectual and cultural heritage. It is unbelievable to me that NWU doesn't see a contradiction in their zeal to tear down one of Goldberg's remaining buildings.
