Breadfruit has an unwarranted reputation as being bland.

Breadfruit is an extremely versatile nutritious staple food, and can be prepared in many delicious ways. As as a vegetable it tastes like artichoke hearts, mature and starchy it is a ideal substitute for potatoes, and when ripe, soft and sweet, it is a dessert. And it's gluten free!
