Re: “Justin Townes Earle, Tristen

Park West is a great small venue with a hushed elegance usually seen in the old upscale theaters in Chicago , Tristen opened the show and the DePaul alum didn't disappoint in her homecoming set with her band in great form , setting the mood for Justin Townes Earle who can hold a room with his heartfelt songs ranging from the forlorn to bootstompers like his cover of "Burnin' Bad Gasoline" , and the soul tinged numbers from his latest release ."Mama's Eyes" was a highlight for me with its personal reciprocal tale of love and caring for a Mother that always had his back , overall it was a fabulous night of music in a classy venue , And hats off to the Ticket Agent / Locksmith who fished my keys out the car after I carelessly locked them in before the show , Even that had a silver lining because Justin was walking by right then and he signed my record for me ! Funnest night in Chicago in some time ...Thanks everyone .
