Jessica Hopper is the Anne Coulter of rock journalism. She hates gay people so she tried to ruin Stephin Merritt's career by calling him a racist in one of her insane blog posts. That shit went viral and she is the reason Magnetic Fields broke up. She is also the reason Cobain ate a shotgun. Words hurt, Jessica. Wish you would wake up and realize that.

What "dues" are owed the music consuming public? If your shitty band has toiled in obscurity for decades and you aren't drawing more fans than your own patient friends and family, maybe it's time to look elsewhere for validation. The hubris of a teenage band should not provoke this much "outrage". And since when have teenagers been known to speak in coherent sentences? This interview has nothing to do with music.

Too bad these kids aren't savvy enough to realize that they are being set up as a laughing stock by a vindictive pseudo-journalist who has never known an iota of talent. Imagine if a 34 year old male was trashing a young, talented, and successful local female band. JHop would be up in arms. I guess she got bored of harassing Steve Albini.
