Re: “Taking on my college town’s bar scene taught me that protest is a form of self-care

Where was the part where this place had anything to do with any actual rapes that have happened?

Re: “Tribune to Kochs? Not if they can help it.

Well, this would be fascist if it weren't likely to be completely ineffectual.

Funny how "legalizing gay marriage" and "ending the drug war" never make it into the list of things defining that "rightwing agenda" of those awful Kochs.

Re: “Will two too many Kochs spoil the Tribune?

Yeah, I TOTALLY didn't get the irony of what I was posting there. Thanks for pointing it out!

If you think the Kochs are running anything other than their own company in this country, you've been asleep the past few years. We're pretty much living under a libertarian's nightmare government (I notice that you never once say the L-word because recognizing who the Kochs have been for 45 years-- or acknowledging David's support for gay marriage, ending the drug war, etc.-- would point up the absurdity of claiming that they're one step away from installing the Wallace-LeMay ticket in power or whatever the hell it is you're on about).

Yes, Ernie, I'm terribly worried they might lead to the fall of Communism in 1989. Seriously, can't you worry about the Trilateral Commission or Davos like a normal person?

Re: “Will two too many Kochs spoil the Tribune?

So wait, the guy quits over their crazy beliefs in 1968, and you want to know if he still holds their crazy beliefs? Dude, nobody still holds their crazy beliefs from 1968, except Bill Ayers.

I love the panic over this. As (Koch-payrolled OMG) Reason editor Matt Welch put it once, there are a surprisingly large number of people who live in utter fear that libertarians will seize power and ruthlessly leave them alone.
