Re: “A night with Hannibal Buress (and hundreds of people and 20 TV cameras)

@realitycheck I guess you need me to elaborate. First off the show wasn't just for a TV audience. I paid over $25 for my ticket. Jerry Springer was for a tv audience, admission was free. This was a comedy show that was being taped for replay on c.c. Second, we were told in an email sent out before the show that if we didn't arrive at least 30 minutes before the show we would risk not being seated. We were told to arrive around 845 and that doors would open at 830. Doors actually opened at 930. My comments could be characterized as petty whining if it were not the middle of winter.  People were made to wait in a line that stretched over a block and a half for upwards of an hour in 10 degree weather!!! Did you wait in the cold??? I doubt it! As to the bar issue. The bar closed well before the show began. Yeah a drink during the show would have made the comedy experience more enjoyable but more so can i get a drink so i can warm up? It's clear from your message that you think television taping trumps all, but the REAL reality check is that patrons health and safety should be the priority. Hannibal, you wanna stress how this was a chi-town homecoming for one of our own- Don't let your fans get treated like that. Third time I've gone to see you and probably the last.

Yeah, send an email telling everyone to "dress to impress" then leave them standing in line outside for close to an hour past when you said doors would open, then close the bar before the start of the show. F.U. Vic theater, Comment Central and Hannibal Buress.
