This is a very woody sports bar with tables, booths and bar stools. There is plenty of pleasant noise and an invigorating bustle going on all around you as you drink or dine. The menu has something for everyone but it seems to revolve around burgers and battered fish. My wife and I had burgers and they were two of the best burgers that we have ever had. The waitress was wonderful and we had an experience that we will replicate every time that we're in the area. The fries were absolutely amazing! The bill for two burgers (of course it was on a Monday when they run burger specials) was under fifteen bucks (we drank water) but the ratio of what you get compared to what you pay is very heavy on the GOOD VALUE scale.
We both agreed, and this is rare, that Poag Mahone's will be a regular stop for us.
