Re: “What really happened in Paris, Illinois?

I guess the more important question that Mr. Miner should have asked Dan Curry was, "On who's behalf are you currently 'reverse spinning' the facts and are you currently being compensated in any manner to do so?" He is after all, an admitted PR rep who is paid to say things on others' behalf...thus the name of his firm, "Reverse Spin." That should be the first clue to anyone who might think they would get an objective accounting of the "facts." I found it quite ironic, and frankly puzzling, that Mr. Curry would make the statement that a pardon for my brother, "...directly points the finger at Bob Morgan." Is Dan trying to say that he knows something we don't? Quite a statement from someone who was being paid to represent Mr. Morgan's best interests.
Oh, and for the record, as a thirty-two year law enforcement officer, having retired from the Illinois State Police, I worked with many prosecutors and defense attorneys. I never vilified a defense attorney for doing their job, but then, most who have defended my brother, including me, have been vilified. After all, some forget that our constitution guarantees a fair trial and a competent defense. With few exceptions, the vast majority of attorneys from both sides were professional and had integrity. As for the attorneys at Northwestern, specifically, The Center On Wrongful Convictions, I spent a great deal of time speaking with them, watching them in various hearings, reading their motions and listening to them. They do what they do because they truly believe in their work and in their clients. I know integrity when I see it. I know dedication to justice when I see it. For the record, I stand with all of them. I only wish others in this case could muster a scintilla of the integrity possessed by the attorneys at Northwestern.
