Re: “Brindille is a refuge from frightening surroundings

brindille: food--superb; ambiance--superb -quiet; winelist--so outrageously priced--and marked up as to be laughable ; price--just far too high for a meal- even a very good one.
brindille is very reminiscent of the best restaurant in 200 small french towns 20 years ago---but at 6 times the price. i don't think chicago can, or should , support this pricing.
there are now 50 other excellent restaurants in chicago at 1/3 the price ( not fine fench style to be sure)
