Steve Bogira

I'm the author of Courtroom 302, a book about the nation's busiest felony courthouse, here in Chicago. It won the Midland Authors nonfiction award for 2005 and was a finalist for the LA Times current interest award. My work has been aided by an Alicia Patterson fellowship and a Kaiser media fellowship in health. I have an honorary doctorate in humane letters from Albion College. I'm a proud product of Chicago's south side and the Ridge Country Club caddie yard, where my gambling and cussing earned me a Chick Evans scholarship to Northwestern.
