A washed-up former athlete on the brink of divorce (Matthew Perry) gets his wish to start over again when he's magically transformed into his teenage self (Zac Efron of High School Musical). This amiable fantasy-comedy features the appealing Leslie Mann (Knocked Up) as the hero's wife and Thomas Lennon (Reno 911) as the billionaire best friend who helps Efron get back into school to correct his past mistakes. The ancient body-switching premise is animated by a breezy script that briefly addresses some of its darker implications (Mann's growing attraction to the teen, who's also fending off the advances of his own daughter) before returning to a celebration of adolescence. Burr Steers (Igby Goes Down) directed; with Michelle Trachtenberg, Melora Hardin, and Brian Doyle-Murray. PG-13, 95 min.
