www.fotp.org
Calling all nature-lovers and gardeners who want to help improve their local community open space: on Saturday, June 13, from 9am to noon, join volunteers at the Dunning-Read Conservation Area at Irving Park and Oak Park Avenue for a morning of bringing back the prairie! Many hands will be needed to help plant 1,000 native prairie, savanna and wetland seedlings. No experience is required – just a willingness to learn and get your hands dirty! Meet at the south end of the Chicago-Read Mental Health Center parking lot, 4200 N. Oak Park Ave. For more info and to RSVP, contact Rebecca Blazer at 312-857-2757 x17 or BLAZERR@FOTP.ORG.
