There's plenty to distract you from the first presidential debate of the season. Here's some of what we recommend:

Mon 9/26: Haymarket Books presents author, linguist, and political activist Noam Chomsky discussing U.S. foreign policy and its relationship to U.S. domestic policy at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel (5850 S. Woodlawn). 6:30 PM

Mon 9/26: Lincoln Lodge Starts a Revolution, a fund-raiser for the Lincoln Lodge at Revolution Brewing Company (2323 N. Milwaukee), features performances from Michelle L’amour, pro wrestler Colt Cabana, rapping violinist Amanda Bailey, and stand-up Aparna Nancherla. 7 PM

Tue 9/27:
 Jen Sabella and Erika Wozniak host the Girl Talk, an all-female talk show at the Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia) highlighting amazing women doing amazing things in Chicago. This month’s guest is outspoken CTU president Karen Lewis. 6:30 PM

Tue 9/27: During the Wicker Park Bucktown Fall Dinner Crawl, the WPB Chamber of Commerce guides three separate treks—the "Spoon," the "Fork," and the "Knife"—to standout restaurants including Antique Taco, Dove's Luncheonette, and Smoke Daddy. 6-9 PM

Wed 9/28: Daybreaker hosts the Disco at Dawn featuring sunrise yoga followed by a dance party on the roof of Savage Smyth (920 N. Franklin). 5:30-8:30 AM

Wed 9/28: The Steezus Tour, comic Steven King's full-length parody of Kanye West's Life of Pablo tour, features guests Andy Fleming, Joe Alden McMahon, Fran Hoepfner, and Kristen Toomey at the Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia). 9 PM

Thu 9/29: Ensemble Español performs Flamenco Passion at the Auditorium Theatre (50 E. Congress) as part of the Made in Chicago dance series. 7:30 PM

Thu 9/29: Goose Island Brewing and 93XRT team up at the Music Box Theatre (3733 N. Southport) host a screening of I Am Trying to Break Your Heart: A Film About Wilco, a documentary following the local band as they worked on their album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. 7:30 PM
