Rahm Emanuel was invited to take a swing at the Bean on Tue 5/31—we'll see if he shows up.
Memorial Day is over, but there's still plenty to do in this short, unofficial first week of summer. Here's some of what we recommend:
Tue 5/31: Rahm Emanuel's Chicago isn't quite
Game of Thrones, but that hasn’t stopped Duncan Ritchie and 1,800 of his closest Facebook friends from challenging the mayor to some
good, old fashioned swashbuckling under the shadow of the Bean (Michigan and Randolph).

Tue 5/31: If you showed up to work after Memorial Day with an unforgettable hangover,
the Moth's theme for the evening, "escape," is probably all too relatable. Storytellers at Fitzgerald's (6615 Roosevelt, Berwyn) get five minutes to spin a yarn about breaking free and busting loose.

Wed 6/1: Tracy Morgan's Picking Up the Pieces tour arrives in Chicago at the Civic Opera House (20 N. Wacker) as part of the Onion and the A.V. Club's Third Annual 26th Annual Comedy Festival. "It's wonderful," the comedian says of being on the road after a June 2014 car crash left him in critical condition. "After what me and my family have just been through, it's really great—I missed it. It really lets me know how special it is to do comedy."

Tony Conrad: Completely in the Present. Conrad, a legendary experimental filmmaker and avant-garde artist, passed away in April and will be at the focus of this year’s fest. The night also includes performances by Conrad's Amplified Drone Strings and filmmaker Bruce McClure.
