Although not as nice as this past weekend, it won't be a bad Monday, with a high of 40 and a low of 31. There will be some sun, which should make it as warm as 45. [AccuWeather]

  • Chaos in northern suburbs as Megabus catches fire and explodes

Fortunately no one was hurt when a Megabus on its way to Minneapolis caught fire and exploded near Waukegan on Sunday. A New York Times budget travel reporter was on the bus and chronicled the whole incident on Twitter. [Washington Post]

  • Bulls beat Lakers in Kobe Bryant's final Chicago game

After nearly 20 years in the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant made his final trip to Chicago to take on the Bulls this weekend. He reflected on his long history with the team, which includes playing Michael Jordan and coming very close to moving to Chicago to join the Bulls in 2004 and 2007. [USA Today]

  • Tribune finds 1963 photo of Chicago police arresting Bernie Sanders

The Tribune uncovered a photo of then-University of Chicago student Bernie Sanders being arrested by Chicago police during a south-side protest in 1963. The photo may be useful for Sanders, who's been highlighting his civil rights activism in the 1960s. [Tribune]

  • Tourist from London missing from far south side

London resident Ademola Owolana, 26, was visiting relatives in Chicago when he went missing on early Saturday morning in the West Pullman neighborhood. He was last seen outside Club Low Key near East 117th Street and South Michigan Avenue around 4 AM. [ABC7 Chicago]

  • Celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ferris Bueller's Day Off at Ferris Fest

It's hard to believe it's been almost 30 years since director John Hughes's classic Chicago movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off was released. The anniversary will be commemorated with a festival including a bus tour of filming locations and a re-creation of the famous "Twist and Shout" parade from May. [WGN]
