Time to plan the weekend.

Here's some of what we recommend:

Fri 12/11: Jerry's (1938 W. Division) celebrates the release of Founders Brewing's newest beer, Project PAM, a black IPA that's been "in development under a shroud of secrecy for years." 6-10 PM

Fri 12/11: Dave Maher Coma Show, based on comedian Maher's monthlong diabetic coma, continues its run at the Annoyance (851 W. Belmont) tonight. "The show basically is medical and psychological, with a social-tech aspect, like Facebook eulogies," Maher says. "A huge chunk is in the hospital, like weird wounds and first showers, and then coming back and making meaning from that." 8 PM

Sat 12/12: Bitter Betty Holiday Bazaar at Innertown Pub (1935 W. Thomas) is a holiday market with loads of leather goods, spices, home decor, candles, bath products, prints, vintage stuff, and more. Bonus: they're serving boozy hot chocolate. Noon-6 PM

Sat 12/12: Unabridged Books (3251 N. Broadway) celebrates its 35th Anniversary with a party with treats prepared by the store's cookbook-testing team, raffles of some of the owner's favorite books, and a photo retrospective of the store's growth from bookstore to neighborhood institution. 6-9 PM

Sun 12/13: Take the edge off holiday shopping with drinks from Femme de Cocktail and Bittercube (included with admission) at a special seasonal version of indie stalwart Dose Market, Holidose, at Morgan Manufacturing (401 N. Morgan). Browse through wares from the likes of Foxglove Studio, Sauce and Bread Kitchen, and Snaggletooth. 10 AM-5 PM

Sun 12/13: The Chicago Tribune columnist and co-owner of Frontera Foods JeanMarie Brownson discusses and demos recipes from her new cookbook, Dinner at Home, at Read It & Eat (2142 N. Halsted). 2-4 PM
