Earlier this year experimental musician and yoga instructor Andre Foisy (Locrian, Kwaidan) debuted Metal & Candlelit Yoga nights, an ingenious musical event that combines his two passions. The title does a good job of explaining the affair: Foisy leads attendees in a yoga session set to heavy hypnotic tunes in the candlelit glow of West Town's Turbodog studio, and guest musicians end the evening with a "drone bath" performance.

Tomorrow night Foisy hosts the final Metal & Candlelit Yoga session of the year, a Day of the Dead celebration that wraps up with a set from Auditor, a drone musician who merges doom, industrial, and harsh noise into sinister, jarring patterns. Auditor excels at creating both spine-tingling calm and vitriolic, combustible blasts of noise, and I imagine his Turbodog set will be much more trancelike to fit the setting. If you're into hearing more of Auditor's deranged offerings take a listen to "And Vomit As You Devour Them" from June's Form Destroyer, which sounds like an industrial song that's been burned and twisted inside out.

The Metal & Candlelit Yoga session kicks off at 8:30 PM tomorrow and Auditor's set starts at 10 PM; it's $16 to drop in, or you can go with a $20 new student offer, which gets you ten days of unlimited yoga at Turbodog. If you want to get a feel for Foisy's teaching style check out a couple of his YouTube tutorials below.
