To celebrate Wrigley Field's centennial, the Chicago Tribune's Printers Row, the Chicago Public Library, and the University of Chicago Press are co-hosting an evening of trivia at Harold Washington Library. the Wrigley Centennial Trivia Showdown will feature Chicago Tribune baseball experts Mark Jacob and Paul Sullivan as well as ESPN.com's Christina Kahrl and, of course, baseball-obsessed audience members.

This year's incarnation of the north side's Pivot Arts Festival will start with a bang—the Big Bang to be precise. The Big Bang Kick-Off Celebration will feature a pop-up performance of the show Gashlycrumb Orphanagedescribed by lead actress Lacy Katherine Campbell as "Tim Burton meets Edward Gorey"—and drinks served in beakers, a detail in keeping with this year's theme, "art meets science."

"Faith and despair" intertwine in Ida, a Polish film that follows a young nun as she uncovers her family's hidden and tragic past. Director Pawel Pawlikowski's tenth film is "gracefully told" and beautifully shot, writes our J.R. Jones. Others seem to agree—the film was awarded the top prize at 2013's London Film Festival and won the International Critics Award at the Toronto Film Festival.
