Second Citys Neighborhood Tour
Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered.

Bike the Drive looks like something out of a dystopian sci-fi movie. This morning no cars are permitted on Lake Shore Drive; instead cyclists take to the city's lake-side expressway and are free to roam the asphalt at their leisure. If this is what we can expect from the inevitable collapse of industrialism, it doesn't seem so bad. The postride festival features live music and breakfast.

Today kicks off another season of the Second City's Neighborhood Tour. Funny meets factual as guides walk you through the history of the Old Town neighborhood, stopping at the haunts of famed Second City alums along the way. You just might learn something.

Chicago-based duo Invisible Things, consisting of guitarist Mark Shippy and Jim Sykes, opens for Martin Bisi tonight at the Burlington. Of the pair Peter Margasak writes, "Shippy's extroverted, detailed, and richly textured guitar work feels like the music's anchor; Sykes sounds like he's playing a transcription of a Michael Zerang improvisation in double time."
