A sneak peek at the unrelenting abrasiveness of the upcoming Unholy Two album, This Is Hardcore—dropping May 20 on 12XU—today's 12 O'Clock Track, "Hard Times Daddy," is a Brainbombs-like pile of feedback and maniacal screaming. The lone instrument propelling the track is the heavy-hitting drums, pounded by Obnox main man Lamont "Bim" Thomas, because trying to make sense of the guitar-noise attack is a guaranteed headache (and possible nosebleed). Sometimes the three guitars ride heavy on a single shit storm of distortion, but mostly they swirl in a way that sounds like they're trying to escape being murdered by one another. Nasty stuff.
