Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered.

We're in debt to the railroaders of the mid-20th century for constructing the tracks that have long given us the soothing thrum of locomotives. "Railroaders: Jack Delano's Homefront Photography" hearkens back to that era, featuring 60 photographs by Delano of the rail community that was integral to the home effort during World War II. The exhibition opens today at the Chicago History Museum and spotlights Chicago as a crucial cog in North America's rail network.

Blair Thomas & Company draw inspiration from the morbid Victorian-style illustrations of Edward Gorey for their latest, not entirely kid-friendly puppet show, The Vinegar Works, at Loyola University Museum of Art. Reader contributor Suzanne Scanlon writes that there's a "precision of artistry and dedication to craft that matches the work of Gorey himself."

The second day of the Ragnarokkr Metal Apocalypse is upon us, and Reggie's Rock Club and the neighboring Music Joint are hosting it. Tonight catch Grim Reaper, Voltax, Argus, Black Death, Crowhaven, Axemaster, Witches Mark, and Visigoth. In Soundboard Luca Cimarusti calls Grim Reaper a "solid-as-hell power-metal band."
