For my money, the Marked Men remain the most relistenable band to come out of the stellar, and very incestuous, punk scene in Denton, Texas—not to mention being one of the key players in putting the city on the Lone Star map. It's dirty and melodic pop-punk, but not in a one-string-solo Lookout Records sense; the Marked Men straight shred, all the while keeping their songs tight, focused, and, unsurprisingly, upbeat. And damn it if they're not just fun as hell. Today's 12 O'Clock Track is the title cut from 2006's Fix My Brain, the one of their four full-lengths I find myself spinning the most.
