Over a period of two weeks in 2012, a few months before the release of Mono's sixth full-length album, For My Parents, photographer and independent filmmaker Henry Jun Wah Lee shot long, time-lapse landscape shots of Iceland's terrain. That video was then synced with Mono's "Legend," the opening track from the aforementioned album. To put it very lightly, the Japanese instrumental postrock outfit has always had a flair for the dramatic and triumphant—it comes with writing ten-minute, ebbing-and-flowing symphonic epics—so pairing today's 12 O'Clock Track with lush shots of desolate, at times harrowing Icelandic territory could really not be more in its wheelhouse. The band headlines Bottom Lounge tonight, with an opening set by Mick Turner.
