Smell something fishy? Chicago chefs are showcasing their mussel-based dishes at the Annual Mussel Festival. Participating restaurants include Kiki's Bistro, Mexique, and Cyrano's Farm Kitchen.
Headlined by Prong, music fest Cold Waves II is taking over Metro tonight. The event commemorates the life of Acumen Nation guitarist Jamie Duffy, who died of a sleeping pill overdose last year. All proceeds go to Hope for The Day, a nonprofit organization that educates youth about suicide awareness.
Iron & Wine take the stage at the Chicago Theatre months after releasing their most recent album Ghost on Ghost, which the Reader's Peter Margasak says contains "gorgeous arrangements." Widowspeak opens.
