But it, or—more likely—the mayor's machinations, worked. After a five-and-a-half-hour session, and over the objections of 44th Ward alderman Tom Tunney, the landmarks commission unanimously approved two huge new signs for Wrigley Field: a 5,700-square-foot Jumbotron that'll dominate from the left field wall, and a 650-square-foot "script" sign above right field, along with a "Master Sign Program" governing future advertising in the park that some commission members found uncomfortably fuzzy.
